My 4-Stage Process:

Stage One

STAGE

1

Develop the Client Profile Narrative
Work with the client to create a concise narrative that captures:

  • Background & personality: Professional history, key experiences, and defining traits
  • Strengths & preferences: Core capabilities and the types of tasks or environments they find most engaging
  • Decision criteria: Practical constraints and preferences (e.g., salary range, location, remote vs. in-person, company size, industry interests)
Stage Two

STAGE

2

Generate Career Path Options
Use the client narrative to prompt an AI platform to identify potential career paths. Request insights on:

  • Typical responsibilities and required skills
  • Entry requirements or transition pathways
  • Potential challenges or barriers
  • Compensation outlook and growth trajectory
  • Key advantages and trade-offs of each path
Stage Three

STAGE

3

Evaluate and Prioritize Options
Review the generated career paths with the client and:

  • Assess alignment with their strengths, interests, and constraints
  • Compare options across key criteria (fit, feasibility, upside)
  • Select a shortlist of priority paths for deeper exploration

STAGE

4

Conduct Real-World Exploration
Guide the client in validating shortlisted paths through direct exposure:

  • Network outreach: Identify and request introductions to relevant professionals
  • Independent research: Explore credible online resources, role descriptions, and industry trends
  • Informational conversations: Prepare for and conduct discussions with people currently in those roles to understand day-to-day realities
